MEDITATION: Searching or Reacquainting?

In meditative sessions such as Zen or Yoga, the participants are instructed to "find their center", or 'seek out their soul'; a method in order to allow them the achieve of some inner peace or psychological serenity.

Yet, in truth, this is not about searching for something that people are made to believe to have been lost, or buried,  somewhere so deep inside the very being....the very fabric of a person's existence. Whatever this ethereal entity is that individuals are made to seek out; it has already been found a priori to the the effort of searching for it.

Meditation should be considered more as discovering and not trying to find something that is already part of our being. It is already there. Whatever this element is which we find tranquility by; is something we merely have to be acquainted with.

"Breathe deeply.....Free your mind....REACQUAINT with yourself....".
